pulsar on vista question

Post by simon »

hi
i am kinda new here so 1st
hello to everyone.

i have a pulsar 1 card installed
on a windows vista ultimate.
so far it looks good in the device manager.
the problem is that the pulsar does not appear
in the "manage audio device" window in the control panel.
i just want to make him the default sound card for the system.
but i see only the onboard sound card.
i tryed to disable the onboard card from the device manager
still, i cannot see the pulsar.

if someone here can help me please.

thanks.

I think you'll need to wait for the vista update on that one. It's all to do with the DX10 seeing as everything turns around that in windows, the only way you'll get it to work is probably in the asio mode i.e. cubase etc but it won't recognise the input and outputs in windows even though the driver itself will come up. I'll just check to see if I'm not talking out of my arse........

That seems to be right,Completely or maybe not unrelated, I have a Tascam fw 1884 and before the vista drivers came out it only worked in cubase, Quite well i Might add, but as for the windows drivers, nothin'

Anyway scope 5's here soon just hang it out.

just open the cubase and he
didn't found the asio for pulsar so he shut the program.
i enable the onboard card and cubase works.
but when i try to switch to asio scope in the device setup
i get a massege sais "SPF fusion platform is not running
on ASIO source and ASIO dest modules are not included
in your current project".

any idea?

did you put those modules in your (active and open) SFP project?
You need to load SFP first before opening Cubase :-)
Indeed no Vista support yet :-)
