cubase4.1 and asio

Post by idiso »

HI there!
I got the 4.1 update installed and there are no(!!) asio drivers available any more in cubase(not even asio mme or asio directx ).
Anyone experienced the same?

Thanks.

copy the scope ASIO driver (in Scope driver folder) to the drivers folder of Cubase :-)

sounds annoying.
try reinstalling Cubase.
It must be a Steinberg thing.
I use also Cubase (SX3), so I can feel the pain.

Works well here, but as soon as i change bitrate - PANG
Cubase 4.1 also seems sensitive for adding VSTi's while running, i'll never seen such fast shutdown (Cubase and Scope)

Perhaps it is because i still use xppro sp1!
But i am not willing to install the complete update to sp2 just to be able to use cubase 4.1.If somebody should know if there is a critical file/driver or so missing in sp1,please could you tell me.
-Or i am just waiting for sfp 5!

Thank you.

it's not scope, it's steinberg. there are other cards that are having problems as well.

what's so bad about installing sp2? it works fine, it won't hurt anything....

XP sp2 is mandatory for C4
I did hold back a while myself, didnt want SP2 since all was ok.
