The Valve Mixer (FB5) was edited with a resolution of 1152*864 on a 17' screen.
Of course, it was hell to edit it (takes 99% of the screen size)

I now use a resolution of 1280*1024 (same screen) and it is more confortable. I tried, but cannot go back to a lower resolution anymore (it is much better like this). My gfx card doesn't allow higher res on that screen.

For FB5, I've been suggested to make the FB5 half size by putting the 5 stereo channel on another page, so the FB5 would be smaller than the V82 (you would press a button for seeing mono or stereo channels). So you would not have all on one screen anymore. But may be it makes things easier. Of course, this takes a lot of time to re-do. What do you think ?

I had Olive make his mixer the same resolution as well.

These were designed to be viewed from a distance of a couple of meters and take up the whole screen w/ the Live Bar collapsed horizontally to fit alongside of the mixer.

Sure, they are painful to edit. But when you ever go live w/ your DAW, you will agree that this works perfectly for the FB5 as it can be viewed in dim as well as bright PAR Lamps from a distance.

Since I rarely edit during a Gig, this was a non issue for me.

It's way cool of Mehdi to take the time and make this more comfortable 4 everyone else.

Damn, I'd love to run a screen that big at the gigs I do.

SKB makes giant industrial strength ATA's for 36" up to 52" for HDD Flats.

I shall stay focused, but that's got me daydreaming already.

sounds like a 32" screen designed for watching movies, so is quite low res for computer use - those pixels must be huge up close!

1650 x 1050 on a 22" screen is the norm these days, and can be had for $300
