you forgot to announce your cards in the "Scope Purchasing" forum.
there are still people who believe in the power of those dsps. consider gaining some bucks instead of shreddering :)

Nicely selfish attitude. Donate your worthless cards to the Mr Arkadin Charity instead. BTW no-one forced you buy 4.5 did they?

oops, I never expected to confirm a statement by Olive, but he just hit the nail ...

Tuccos, you're complaining for almost 2 years - enough time to sell your stuff
eBay prices aren't that bad for vintage Scope stuff

cheers, Tom
you might consider to donate the cards for charity... ;)

I don't mean to be picky, but I think you mean SonicCore Olive.

I take that back. The new A16u graphics clearly show 'sonic' & 'core' as 2 separate words. My mistake.

even the name is unsure... ;-)
hope SC will soon make a real statement (by word, or by a release of something) about the future.
It's almost a year ago now...
Yes I know they are working hard, but something should happen soon.

Sonolive, as representing DAS on Planetz, is doing fine btw.
I just take the opportunity to say so :-)

one thing that make me dubious is that if i look at the official price of the italian sonic core dealer, i see that a new LUNA still cost more than 500euro, while a scope is 2000.
damn, with all the other new PCI/USB options, new creamware / SC cards should cost at least a half.
don't forget that it is a technology 5-6 years old. one should expect some breakdown in prices and/or an improve in the DSP power... which did not happen...
let's hope for the best
when i will find a scope srb for 500€ i will for sure buy it... ;-)

for many consumers, that'll be the thinking. for those who are shown what Scope really is, the price is very low. those other systems DO NOT compare.

for me, I cant wait to have my 2 new dedicated DAWs! Scope will be so much more alive for me then!!! Not to forget the new mixers which will make things so much easier.

What you are experiencing is not Scope dying....... its more like a rebirth :)

I haven't used Scope in several months due to the fact that I've been composing pieces with VST synths only so they can be easily played on a laptop for future live gigs. But I have to say, I have not heard any VA synths for VST that come close to the character of CreamWare's. Arturia's CS-80V is pretty good, but the interface is SO hard to use! Their Moog emulations are horrible, too. I haven't tried MiniMonsta. But after using various VST synths, I'm really beginning to miss MiniMax. (I still haven't gotten Pro-12 or Prodyssey yet!) Even some of the older CW synths I'm beginning to long for again. :)

Scope is NOT dead yet. Just in suspension....

NI's FM-8 does come very close to Sope's quality, but that's the only one I'm aware of...
Scope still performs extremely well, all it lacks is an optimized workflow under some circumstances - the concept (still) rules unmatched :D

cheers, Tom

FM8 isn't a VA synth, it's FM. Rapture has excellent sound quality too, but it's not analog.
