Classic Filter Delay - updated aug-15-2008
I should have recognized the GUI.
I actually just pulled this out tonight for a quick review.
Awesome job.
I usually just blow by delays, afterall I have SpaceF, Wolf, and Celmos collection, who could release a delay I would be interested in?
Well.................you have.
The filters and resonance are really sweet. Even the LFO is cool as one could bring it in via CC's and a foot pedal.
You did a great job on this one. Presets are no biggie, as I store them in the Solaris insert FX rack where it is recallable per preset.
Thanks Brotha' Man HiFiBooM.

Re: Classic Filter Delay - updated nov-10-2007
I looooooooooooove this device.
But it is crying out for a midi input so that I can record filter and feedback sweeps plus automate the mix controls. It seems such a waste to have such a fantastic device and not be able to do this. I know you can insert the Classic Filter Delay into a mixer insert or use a Midi Izer device to give you midi control, but "MIDI Ctrl Assignment" settings are not saved as part of the Scope project which makes this very impactical. Scope doesn't seem to remember "MIDI Ctrl Assignment" settings for devices that don't actually have a midi input (which kind of makes sense really!)
Please could you implement a midi input on the Classic Filter Delay hifiboom? I will be your bestest friend ever!
Thanks for such a great device.

I'm just curious, how can the new device with midi input and presetlist be smaller in data size compared to the original device? Is it because of the RAR compression which has a higher compression ratio than the zip file?
Re: Classic Filter Delay - updated aug-15-2008
1) if you just compare the two files offered for download, you might assume that rar compresses dramatically better (about 85kB). but looking into both archives tells you that the zip contains a 86kB manual while the rar has a 300B presetlist instead. that's the trickChampionSound wrote:I'm just curious, how can the new device with midi input and presetlist be smaller in data size compared to the original device? 2) yes, also the device itself is about 2kB smaller than the original. it either happens because of chosing mdl instead of dev as output format, or hifi has simply advanced and knows some more dirty tricks to optimize his devices

no. it will, sooner or later, add subliminal messages to the output telling you to send him food and chicksthe19thbear wrote:Hifiboom, THANKS! your stuff is great, and its FREE!??!![]()

it's like those... satanic messages you hear by spinning heavy metal records backwards.

that's what I think, too. he probably addedstardust wrote:That means that he probably changed the messages in the device and thus the size differs.

hi all, thanks for the great response.
It wasn`t a big deal at all.
regarding the size of the device. Sometimes the size of a device changes when you save a project and load it again and then protect it.
and another case for changing size could be a different way to protect the device rougly spoken.
I noticed also a prototype-device which that has grown in functionality but had a reduced size.
a funny phenomena.

Thanks for the update hifiboom. This is one of the main reasons why I love my Sonic Core cards so much....so many great inexpensive or free plugins!!!
