I really like this & wouldn't do much (if anything) else to it. It would make a perfect little interlude track on an album.

Thanks, perhaps you are right, but I am considering entering it in a contest and they require 15 minutes of music. This is about 3 minutes.

I think you are referring to the title which has to do with being happy even though life is quite miserable. It's like when you have an operation and they shoot you full of pain killers. You know you are in pain but it doesn't bother you as much.

Very nice introspective tune. I would probably tweak some of the velocities on the opening chords and try (for experiment's sake) some Eno-type effect, filtered reverb or something like that but that's me.

I agree with the transition tune comment :)
Are we listening?..

I thought about that already and I love Eno but for the contest that would not be good because they don't use effects. In the end though, I might not even enter in which case that would probably happen to it.
