Senator Boxer Should Be Ashamed

Post by dawman »

The tragedy in SoCal is heart wrenching, as I have family all over Los Angelos, and Santa Ana Hills.

My prayers go out to the families and people of the afflicted areas.

Colorado, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, and the Federal Government have done a remarkable job in helping out in what appears to be a well coordinated evacuation strategy.

During such a trajedy I find it despicable that any politician would use this event to further their political objectives. Barbara Boxer can always be counted on to sing the song of the Liberal left, but she shows her bought and paid for approach during the suffering of millions of Californians by stating the fires could have been contained better if we hadn't sent our National Gaurds assets to Iraq !!??? The NG is responsible for evacuation, and crowd control, not putting out fires !! The people of SoCal should be proud of the way they help each other out long before NG and Federal assistance arrives. And long before her shameful statements were made public.

I just saw Bush on tellie, speaking words of 'compassion' to the people standing at their former houses...
that man is never convincing me of any true feelings when he speaks 'personally' :-D

and just to add "Ratchford, who has been flying since 1987, has flown missions during Operation Just Cause in Panama in 1987, during the first Gulf War and during Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. He has been a MAFFS pilot with the 145th since 1991."

and as he has been flying MAFFS since 1991, my guess is that MAFFS are tied to foreign operations. Iraq MIGHT be one of them, so if it is there, well....

edit: oh, ofcourse he might have been a fighter pilot abroad and a MAFFS pilot when at home. But atleast they dont just do evac.

oh, now i see.

http://www.fs.fed.us/fire/aviation/fixe ... ystem.html

So basically, if NG was in lack of Hercules planes (c-130) to carry their MAFFS well, she COULD be right. atleast she wouldnt be lying.

edit: oh, and compared to "The lorries of death" perfectly performed by her political opponents she wouldnt even compete in the competition of "shitting on your own leg" when it comes to using tragedies for political benefit.

they'll get some state and federal funds eventually.

the Department of Homeland Defense handled the fires and evac this year, so everything was crud, about half of the normal heavy equipment was used. even the television newspeople were a little surprised. i don't know why Chertoff's boys do such a bad job when there's an emergency(Katrina?), but well, there you go. most people are ok, though.

Border states helped out immediately, which is always better than the fed's feeble attempts.

Just more proof that local states only need the taxes they always pay to the fed returned in the form of financial support, and continued developement. For on sight evaluations and immediated help,....... forget about it.

Hell the FBI couldn't find a hooker in a whore house, so their presence was a laugh.

It's good to know that this is handled locally first, then federally last.

Yeah,

I wonder if these macho Arab dictators will listen to their endless cackling of womens rights.

I noticed the warm welcome that Bhutto recieved in Pakistan.

I am all for unclothing the oppressed women of the world, but the idea of Boxer, Hillary, and Rosie O'Donnell getting there before me is a little unsettling.

I 'm not really worried about that. Once they experience the " Velvet Buzzsaw ", who morphs into the fierce warrior, they will quickly demonstrate their immatation of the dying cockroach.

Yeah they will.

Funny thing is that we have an 11% approval rating for Congress, and Bush is at about 30%.

Nobody is ever happy.

Thank God the people who always bash who ever gets elected, usually have no alternative solutions, or vote themselves.

The largest percentage of voters are still the elderly for the next decade. So I seriously doubt that Hillary will get in office. God help us if she does. The other choices are a slick talking trial lawyer, or a junior Senator w/ no experience in world affairs. Then the usual cast of actors and jugglers from the Republican party. I feel that Rudy Gulliani will win. I guess an X-Federal crusader, with experience in managing disasters, and shaking hands with corporate leaders is better than nothing.

I would love to see Ron Paul from Texas. I am going to a rally here for him where he speaks at the Culinary, and Musicians Union picnic. Lot's of Seniorita's !!
