No Recording in XTC Mode

For some time Ive got a lot of Problems to Use the XTC mode (look here: http://www.planetz.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=21793). Now it works with my new Intel System, but I've got still one Problem:
I can't record with my ADAT Interface in the xtc mode. Cubase SE3 find all the other IO but not my ADAT IOs.
On the Picture you can see my actaully routing (I've got just 1 Micro on ,y behringer ADAT Interface).
Can anyone help me?

I don't no, but does Cubase SE implement ADAT input?
Btw, what are you merging actualy?

@hubird: Yes Cubase does - I've used the ADAT IO for Recording without XTC on my old DAW

The way your project is set up is for 4 in/2 out ASIO.
Cubase SHOULD see 4 ASIO-ins.

Input 1-2 are set up to record playback (mixing down).

Input 3-4 are hooked up to your Luna ADAT B source. Is there a reason for you using the B-source and not the A-source? Could you have mixed them up?

What other IOs are you talking about? If you run the Scope ASIO-driver in Cubase, you will only get ASIO IOs. Cubase doesn't know how to communicate with your ADAT directly. This is what ASIO is for.

Now, if you want to record your ADAT source, you record from ASIO-ins 3-4; dictated by way you've wired your project..

The aging Scope drivers work fine.

Thanks for the tips. I will try it again, after installing Windows again - maybe the old driver work good, but the error FF7-5-000C is not only the blame of Windows XP

I've Installed Windows, Cubase and Scope again and now it's working fine!

There is still one little problem...

If I record with Cubase I cant monitor my recording and there is no input signallevel (only the Waves in the Sequenzertrack).
I sure this is an settingproblem with Cubaes but maybe someone knows the solution. The ASIO In is one ADAT track, the ASIO out is my analog Luna output. The ADAt Input is select as standrd Bus mono in.

If anyone can' help me again with this little Problem, I'm the happiest Scope use in the world

you should monitor from the output of your Scope mixer, if you use one

remember, you can always 'Y-split' any output, one line to record from and one to monitor from.
It's normal to mute the recording channel in Cubase, to avoid feeeeeedback :-

hubird, if input monitoring is turned off in cubase, you don't have to mute audio channels when you record.

I've got one solution from the Cubaseforum: If I deaktivate direct monitoring in the ASIO settings I can hear my recording and have an VU -Meter Signal in the Audioout (thats enough...).

and download the xtc mixer, put the dll file in vstplugins folder and the dev/mdl in your scope xtc folder etc etc,,

edit your xtc project, to contain the xtc mixer, leave the mixer window OPEN while saving.
(you can do this with all stock scope mixers as well..)
start cubase etc, and the mixer will pop up. when cubase has started the mixer will be in the background. Just ALT+tab to get it. Dont close the mixer while in cubase, because you cant re open it again.
switch off monitoring in cubase
you now have latency free monitoring with scope fx.

for me this is a better work flow.. i work alot faster, and i dont have enough spare dsps( I only have 2x 3 dsp total) when i load a big scope mixer.. but i'll soon get a 6 dsp card, so i might swith to scope mode then..! but until then.. xtc is the best for me

it's cool, whatever works for you is good.
when you are toggling an xtc mixer, it's about the same toggling scope plus you keep the free routing. but as you say, this saves you dsps, so great!
