MCCY to understand how to make good test
You won't provoke me. I see this as a sign that you want to discuss further and as I said I'll be in this discussion if you'd like to discuss I for sure will be "in".
I will give a comment on this later.

... anyway, who cares, this is funny.

I met Eric in this recording session ( i was taking the photo ) and now we are firend. He has explained me all the story from the first days he came in this forum, all your attitude, to finish with the story of pirating Creamware devices.
That's all.

My name is Manu Betman,if one day you come in Paris,it will be a pleasure to talk to you.I doubt it will be for a true recording professional session :-)

Tchao Mr Hubird. It was a pleasure to talk with you all and without insulting one of you :-) Eric is a really good TEACHER too !
I leave this forum and let you play your job in your nice place.

Manu.

c'mon, this has nothing to do with reverse engineering. a simple process/task explorer should be able to show you which process has which files or pipes in use. I can see no more than this in the screenshot you are obviously referring to...

You have tryed to avoid level cancellation by using numerical distortion, using lots of amplifiers in serie for exemple (but not engouh). That was a solution
yes .. part of the solution, where's the problem with that ?
I seldom listen to music with max level of -90 dB, where one channel isn't connected .. and noone else does.
My own fake test ! everybody can verify those "fake" test ! but you are only chating and not prooving i'm wrong or if my test are wrong.
but .. why should I proove that you're wrong ? You just prooved, what I already wrote in the manual (see above). *And* you prooved something I never stated.
This is like saying "It doesn't cook coffee".
I understand it makes you nervous ,but that's not a reason for insulting me or my test as fake
I didn't insult you, I just wanted to express that it is mainly up to the intention of the tester, what results tests show. Sorry if this wasn't clear.
With your FFT made with vumeter and bandpass
I didn't made a fft analyzer. Maybe you confuse something here ..
because it use COMPAL2.mdl from SDK
As already mentioned I don't know this module and even don't own the SDK.

kind regards
Wolfgang

You are right but i use legal developers's tools, that is not reverse engineering to know wich process or what files are used by Windows "ctrl/alt/sup" for exemple or gpedit.msc to admin correctly XP pro.:-)
those dev tools are FILEMON or REGMON.Easy to find.
They are freeware and absolutly legal.I have just colored in red all the files wich concerned SFP.
Are you another pro devellopper tgstgs ? this forum is full of PRO i see :-) have you all so less of knowledge ? OPENING PROTECTED DEVICES is illegal, did you mention that when they have pirated DAS ?

So,that's really OFF TOPIC and not for me !

Maybe you've overseen that compsal2.mdl and compsal2.dsp are two different files.
I don't have compal2.mdl and just the dsp files are of no use for me. But maybe you knew this, too.

we're all sure he does. I'm curious, btw, whether it is distiguishable which device calls a dsp file or not, or if all dsp files are held open by sfp.exe.

-greetings, markus-

ps. btw, it is no good idea to warm up the old "device" piracy" story, for our and your own peace.

is not able to stop a dirac without distortion because it use COMPSAL2.dsp from SDK.
compression = distortion
compression ! = stopping diracs in rms mode

compression is *change* a waveform in order to lower its level and this is exactly "distortion" and you won't stop a dirac in rms mode, because rms value of a dirac is calculated as the mean integral of the squared signal divided by the time period considered, see here, and this results nearly 0 with a signal formed by a dirac and silence, thus threshold won't be surpassed.

These are signal processing basics, your tests are not fake but don't demonstrate anything as the transparency concept doesn't make any sense related to compressors. :D

...it is possible though that an algorithm is not perfect or fails, but in such a situation we'd have strange behaviours and that's NOT the case, since here we're getting THE correct results.

cheers

I might remind you (manu-ac) that even 3rd party developer (french) SpaceF amongst others have clearly stated that this accusation was too stupid to be true (my words).
Only the most upper level, visible for anyone who wants to see it, was accessable :-)

No, I'm not thinking you was Eric in disguise.
i just was amazed about the correspondence, seriously.
It would be so easy to recognize his style, he (or anyone) couldn't hide.

So Eric is still mocking about the case? He emptied his heart to a simple unknown visitor of his studio? and you call that professional?
And do you possibly call yourself professional to speak about it here?
Das is a commercial company who needs us to buy them plugs, and you are telling us in public he's still gibing at us?

Did you ever ask yourself why he was banned from Planetz, after John asked the community and noone wanted to keep him here?
Do you know Eric is also kicked off the french sister forum?
You believe always blindly what someone tells you knowing a whole community felt the need to get rid of him?

It was your answer to Wolf which made me clear who and what you are: a clumsy dumbhead, not really understanding the subtle processes going on in abstract communication.
MCCY has right, it's funny actually, as you're causing it all by yourself

Sorry manu, we seem to have had some private mails some time ago about my MOVEQ+ ... and about yourself. So you're doing tests allready for some time. I just couldn't identify, because of the change from planetz user "uman" to "manu".
I'm sorry for not recognizing, that it was you. I think you understand why I prefer not to repeat my unanswered discussion-points for your topic and drop new thoughts. We shouldn't overstress Johns private rooms.

@kylie,

Open SFP,make a empty project without asio aor anything else of course.
Start FILEMON just after because you will have tones of files on the screen.,
drag the concerned device into SFP windows.
Filemon will show you the DSP used by this devices (you can use filter for that) ,and COMPSAL.dsp is the compressor module used by KOMPRESSOR.
Of course ,you won't see wich script is using by a module, only files! that's enough.

@Wolf,

If i remember well,i have seen Eric doing it once time, you right click on the atom and do save as new device or something like that. And the MDL is the module wich use the concerned DSP.You know that WOLFGANG.Try FILEMON ;-)

@MARTIN KNOTT or MMC or McCyrano or who you want

Planetz is not all my life as it is for you and your friends. You have spoiled a friend of mine during a long time, and as you have great friends here,i get one too.

PM your admin as you did before to make Eric leaving this forum and what ? i will continue my life and ERIC too.please return on earth ! that 's only a forum...

My god !

Eric, respect to have talked with those members during few mounth !

@ Scope4live, nice to meet you !

tchao !

hey uman, you act like 'another eric', starting to accuse developers and forum members of nonsensical bullshit.
we've had that already, at least all this is not in DAS' interest, commercially, you realize that?
Olive, can't you stop him, I'm not in the need to do it all over...

yes.

This doesn't work in DP.
You know that WOLFGANG.Try FILEMON
yes, I didn't understand you in the 1st place .. you look for files which are used by the filesystem, when loading the device and think, the device uses them all at the same time and/or for exactly the purpose you suppose. This is not the case :)

so, if I understand well, the DAS compressor is the best one if you want to process 1Khz-test signal ?

can they be used for other purpose?

:D
