you won't get a 24 I/O adat with other additional outs than midi. no rca, spdif etc available on that plate.

Yes, what he said.

If you get the "PLUS" or the "CLASSIC", then you get 4 opt ADAT plugs, which is 16in/16out, or half of that if you run them in SMUX mode at higher frequency. If you get the ZLINK, you get two ZLINK jacks, and then 8in/8out ADAT. So 16in/16out on PLUS or CLASSIC. (And you get the Z-link if you want to run at higher frequency talking to an A16 Ultra A/D D/A box.)

PLUS, CLASSIC, and ZLINK all have an I/O dongle that has the breakout cable for the rest of the I/O's. I like the PLUS because I tend to connect balanced cabling. The Classic is really popular since the connectors are all common, i.e. RCA connectors.

For example, I have a Scope Pro ZLINK talking to an A16 Ultra, and a PULSARII PLUS which I use for some of my monitoring balanced connections. The Z-link has the Classic attachment. If you get two or three cards, you can really have a ton of I/O's there, all coming into your cards as opposed to taking extra trips traversing your computer bus.

The 24/24 ADAT faceplate doesn't have the extra I/O connector.

I know there have been some variations on the boards. I saw 1 with 24I/O Adat's on a board somewhere. and then there was an x-tra card for the I/O dongle.

I currentely have a pulsar1 and 4DSP shark board and the 1st A-16. I use them with my TDAT16 in my PIII. but I want a good scope pro board

I checked out the one on E-Bay. I've seen this one before also. Unfortunately its in german and I live in Texas, and can't read alot of the words..

and since I just found out about the creamware sale . and consequently no more canadian office, I can't tallk to Ali , for advice..

Maybe I do need to get a scope boards and pulsar2 or another . so I can have 24 ADAT I/O's , and I like the Z-Link option as well. I'll need some newer A-16 ultras., -- or if anyone has suggestions on other adat DAC's?

Thanks, for your input and keep me posted.

it's midi in out and thru (two of everything) on that "dongle". nothing else.

feel free to ask what's unclear about it.
the picture in the middle of that auction is misleading, since that is a classic plate, as far as I can see. the other picture does neither show the I/O plate nor the "dongle"...

-greetings, markus-

ps. no, it's not mine, and I don't benefit from the sale in any way... :)

a pulsar II (whatever) + the 3 DSP with ADAT Expansion give you a total of 4 ADAT i/O

my offer for a 3 DSP +ADAT expansion with the scope prof software can allow you to pick another pulsar with min software cheap

Ali
