Scope 4, Samplitude 8, and 24 bit

Post by Kullervo »

Hello,

I have some problems using 24 bit audio with scope 4 and samp.

When in Asio, he seems to play in 24 bit asio, but when I try to 'preview' a 24 bit wav file (in the loading dialog), the file doesn't play.
For Asio routing, I have Asio 24 Source (with 6 out) to mixer to Luna analog out.

Since I can't preview file, I revert to MME mode, but Samp refuses to play anything 24 bit and proposes to revert to 16bit.
How should I setup the routing ?
I have 2 x Wave source 24 going to the mixer going to Luna analog out, and Samp won't play 24 bit projects.

Note that in MME mode, Sam previews 16bit file alright, but no 24bit ones...

Aaaargh!

Thanks for your help !

Samp has a problem with the "preview" option in the open wave file dialog box. With v9 Samp has a multi-page "Manager" with a file browser page which is the preferred way to load wav files, and it previews 16, 24 & 32flt files thru asio drivers. The "open wave" preview option still isn't working in v9.1 for anything but 16bit files.

I just got an email from Magix confirming my mailing address....I'm thinking next week.

Kullervo - if Sam v.9 becomes discounted because 10 is out consider upgrading, it's a worthy investment. Many enhancements from v.8
