I need a Pulsar XTC Sync Plate Connector Plug / Jumper !

Hello!

I bought a Pulsar XTC board with 6 DSPs on ebay
but the Plug / Jumper for the 10-pin-sync-plate-connector is missing.
Does anybody know how I can replace it, what pins does it connect to each other?

only one card needs to be connected to the sync plate.

Thanks for the fast reply, but there´s no sync plate in my PC at all.
Only one lonely Pulsar II XTC. It´s not working properly and the manual
says : "if there´s no sync plate connected, keep plug (jumper) in place".
But the plug / jumper is missing.

what are the symptoms?
i don't think it's the lack of a plug, but if it indeed is, you should contact SonicCore directly.

Symptoms are no XTC-operation and this error message:
"XTC plug not properly installed"

In the installation guide from march 2002 (Vers.3.1) is a notice on page 74.
"A distinguishing feature of the XTC hardware as compared to Pulsar II
hardware is the small plug inserted into the SyncPlate connector.
If you wish to add a SyncPlate to your XTC card
(note: this is possible only if you have upgraded from XTC to Pulsar II),
you will need to remove this plug.
OTHERWISE, THIS PLUG CAN AND SHOULD REMAIN IN PLACE."

And there´s something else ... and I don´t want to be a smart ass ...
On page 14 is the german version of that text.
Creamware / SonicCore is a german company,
so I think this is what they first wrote till it was translated.
"... bla, bla, bla ... Ansonsten MUSS der Stecker dort verbleiben"
(english: otherwise, this plug MUST (!!!) remain in place).
Must sounds very serious, can and should sounds more
like you can do it if you want to but you don´t have to.
Am I wrong ?

So far so good, but which pins are the ones to shorten ?
I´ve seen a photo of that some month ago.
It can be done with one or two "PC-mainbord-jumpers" !

Thanks Telmar, very interesting indeed....
I've just checked the defeater key I had received from Creamware while trying to get the Pulsars working without I/O with another card...
Guess what ? It is only a simple plug with no bridges beetween any pin.
Could explain why I always got this "no defeater key" message....
A fake defeater key ?

maybe it (de- or )connects contacts by putting it on it's place
