A 16 ultra not getting a level when Insert is in board

I just bought an A 16 ultra the other day and am using a Soundcraft Spirit Fx 8 mixer . I also bought a Mindprint Envoice II preamp , which I hope to run as an insert more than plugging directly into it.

The problem I am seeing is that , when I run my Mindprint as an insert I do not get a level from my A 16 or my adat when on my routing window. But if I run the insert from one of my behringer dynamics it gets a level. Further more , If I run a mic direct to the pre amp and out to the mixer it runs just fine.

Im not too sure what the problem would be , but im leaning more towards the type of insert cable im using , I dont think its the insert itself on the pre amp , cuz it responds on the pre amp when the insert is plugged in . so it is getting a signal , If anyone has experienced problems like this let me know.
