I actually did enjoy watching LOTR but it didn't move me at all like fx "The Straight Story" by David Lynch. What a beautyful movie that is in every possible way :)

@darkrezin - miller's crossing, yea
- hudsucker proxy - a total capra homage
- o brother - hell, george clooney singing is one reason to like the film and there is so much more :)
- big lebowski - the best introduction of female character ever (julianne moore)
- fargo - mind blowing
- barton fink - john goodman

Alien2 .....wasn't that bad, just more of a space opera and it didn't grind the gut so much but I thought it was pretty good

W.C. Fields did some very funny stuff too :lol:

Petal, being there is another case where it's worth to read the book.
Peter Sellers is great tho' :)

I just remembered 2 movies I never miss when they play on TV:

The Legend of Hell House with Roddy McDowell, one of my top 5 favourite horror movies of all times (right up there with Young Frankenstein :lol: )

Amarcord by Fellini for the absolute beauty of the photography and the caricatures he picked out to play in this movie. (I can't believe the enormous wart on the father's head!)
