Very Short Piano And Synth

Post by braincell »

At first I liked this but I'm not so sure now. Maybe someone will comment.

My first impressions:

If that is a real piano, look at the compression. There is at least one place where the attack is lost. Why is the sequence is a major key when the piece is in minor? The granular effects are really great but of course stick out way too much. Can you find an artistic way of blending them better into your orchestration?

I like it a lot, really :)

I thought it was OK to switch keys. I don't know what granular effects you are talking about.

Ok, not a granular effect, the metallic sound busts if you like :)

It's ok to change from minor to major. The thing is you bring back the minor feel near the end and there is a definite clash between minor and major that doesn't really work to my ears. But that's just a personal observation.

You mean the drills. The piano is fake. Maybe I will delete that song.

The little "clashes" between minor and major are very spicy for me. Don't delete! The sounds have a logical developement. I feel remembered to some old Genesis instrumentals (like "The Lamb Lies Down...", 2nd LP). That's a great compliment!
