Bingo,
You've just scored a lot of points in my league table.
Great to have another Doctor Who fan on board.
Apart from the 7 series of West Wing, there has been nothing better on TV for years than the last 3 series of Doctor Who.
Great to see the last doctor in Heroes too - Christopher Ecclestone.
(we're only part way through series 1 in the UK so don't give the game away PLEASE )

Sadly, I'm (too) old enough to remember the very first doctor - William Hartnell.
As a kid it was definitely a case of hiding behind the sofa on the week that the daleks appeared for the first time ever. I still go all cold thinking about it now.
BTW - there is another spin off series running in the UK featuring Sarah Jane Smith. It's for kids but it's quite entertaining. On top of that there is the Torchwood series. What next? The K9 show?

The CGI are convincing, but what I find appealing in most of the episodes 2 series (I've only seen those) are the original, funny and intelligent story ideas depicted in the series. For example in "The End of the World" episode the Doctor takes Rose to see destruction of Earth, which will actually happen in 5 billion years, on an artificial satellite called Platform One, where all the boarding civilization must abstain from practicing religion (sharc wrote:Not a big fan of the recent Doctor Who myself - all big budget production ....and it still looks like it was done by the beeb![]()

Moisturise me, moisturise me!

as I'm learning Adobe Illustrator I used a (all too small) picture of the 'Tardis' to make a kinda comic paper presentation of it.
The original pic is reduced ('Live Trace') to 6 grey teints, the blue and yellow fx are done with fx which I know already from Photoshop.
Hm, the result as is could have been done in alone Photoshop as well I guess
