Hiss, Static and High Pitch Squeal?

Post by CarvinGuitarFreak »

Hi,

I dont have much problems with scope but this one has started to happen. I was wondering if any one else has had this problem?

I get this periodic static and high pitch squeals... its starting to happen alot and I hope nothings wrong. No IRQ probs, No USB, No Firewire, No Networking, just a PC dedicated to audio (2P2 and 1Luna --> A16u). I have reseated all cards and the bendy stdm cable... but it still happens

Can anyone help, please?

check the adat connections. that sounds like a sync problem.

double check your clock settings. you can try compressed air to the open adat connectors and different cables....

Hi GaryB,

thanks for the reply... Im not using any ADAT at the moment and it is still happening... Ive also unplugged the A16u and Luna adaptor and the problem still happening... I will swop out the PSU (520w) for a more powerfull one tommorrow. I'll have to test each card to find the culprit....

Do you know if Creamware/Sonicore do services on the cards? and who I have to contact....

Thanx

nice one chaps...

I've done a clean installation and cleaned contacts, reseated, air cleaned and changed the power supply. All seems well (fingers crossed). I freaked out a bit...If it does happen again I will record and post it....

I'm checking out a full service and have emailed ralf...

05.29 here... bed time..

Cheers men,
