Scientists About To Create Artificial Life
yeah, that's right.
the people that brought you cancer will cure you of it.
listen Mary Shelley, you don't have to be religious to know that this kind of engineering is madness.
the biohazard of this engineering is light years beyond co2 in the atmosphere. plants live on co2 which makes oxygen and cools the atmosphere. that number sounds like a lot of co2, but it's a drop in the hat compared to a large volcanic eruption....
valis and astro- you have crystalized my thoughts exactly.

Braincell, over the past century the US guv' has dumped INSANE quantities of nuclear, chemical & biological weapons & waste, in their own waters & those of other countries all around the world. They even put the waste in bombs & strategically drop it on other countries telling everyone they're doing it for reasons that no doubt have absolutely F all to do with why they ARE actually doing it. (although I do believe that it could indeed have mostly religious reasons) .. talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
Also, if you want to talk about US money wasted (outside the war mongering) what about Donald Rumsfeld saying about the Pentagon on the morning of September 10, 2001: "According to some estimates we cannot track $2.3 TRILLION in transactions." .... So, did he say that? Is that why the financial section of the pentagon was targetted immediately afterwards? Seriously, what do you think about that? Or do you prefer not to think about it? .. Rather convenient events some might say!!

there's where you're mistaken again.
there have been numerous documented instances of fruad in the last two elections, at least. numerous inconsistancies have plagued electronic voting, as well as the florida counting debacle, the most famous being the ceo of the main electronic voting company Deibold promising the election to Bush( http://www.commondreams.org/headlines03/0828-08.htm ).
for info this is a place to start down the rabbit hole:
http://www.blackboxvoting.org/
these people have been conducting legal citizens' audits of elections and voting systems. they have inspected and, amazingly for some ladies who began as concerned housewifes, demonstrated how easily hacked, both physically and over the internet, these systems are. their investigations have lead to criminal charges being brought forward in several cases.
add to this that the supreme court had no jurisdiction in selected a victor(their actions were clearly unconstitutional) and it is very close to being called a putsch. we'll see if false flag terror attacks lead to a suspension of elections, although with so many bilderburg and cfr approved candidates(guiliani, mccain, thompson, hillary, obama, biden, edwards, kucinich, richardson and so many others) and since so many of them are behemian grove attendees as well, maybe it doesn't matter who is in office. it's not that gore was some great alternative. personally, i don't think that gore was ever even trying to win. it's no secret i consider him a criminal gangster. what up g?
i don't want anyone to think that i am abdicating the voting responibility just because votes can be or are rigged. ignoring reality is not an option. it's a hassle that some are willing to rig an election, but it's been a common occurence in the history of government. when there is power at stake, the power hungry and dishonest will often do some crazy things. i'm only pointing out the obvious.
and for our esteemed forum members from the midwest of the USA who don't think that elections are ever fraudulent, i remind them of new york's tammany hall or chicago's interesting election history. rigging elections without being caught was much harder back then, when there were no centralized computers....
my apologies for the OT....

I believe that Gary's point of view on all these matters is that the whole political and economical system is corrupt. So you guys are not really talking with each other atm.
I'm not sure but I think that the point that Gary is trying to make is similar to the one that Noam Chomsky is expressing in this documentary.

Gary please correct me if I'm wrong.
Cheers!

I don't see any problem with this research. It's research, they're supposed to try new things. They're trying to cure diseases and help the environment. Someday when you're in the hospital with Parkinsons or Cancer you'll be kissing their ass to try to cure you. Or you can go to a "Christian Scientist" facility where they cure you with prayer. I'll take the medical treatment, thanks.
"research" is fine. it's when this stuff becomes reality that it becomes a problem. none of this will ever cure cancer or parkinsons. actually irresponsible science can be directly attributed to such diseases.synthetic88 wrote:I don't see any problem with this research. actually, i'm suspicious of Noam's affilliations as well(he hates america, but loves globalists, yet globalists are making the problem in america), but yes, i did say that.petal wrote:I believe that Gary's point of view on all these matters is that the whole political and economical system is corrupt. an important name to check out and read books from on the subject of "manufacturing consent" is Edward Bernays. he is "the father of public relations".
still OT...
yeah, yeah, we know.
i'm not against science. MY GRAND FATHER WAS ONE OF THE TOP SCIENTISTS OF THE 20TH CENTURY. YOU USE HIS INVENTIONS DAILY. not that you would have heard of him, his patents were mostly commissioned and the people and companies he worked for own them.
not all science is good, however. not all religion is bad either. science or religion controlled by the unscrupulous, the evil, the corrupt, the ignorant, the bad intentioned, the inhuman is going to be really bad....
braincell- i like the words "i think" and "generally" in your last post.

Then I don't see why you are so against Craig Venter's work. He was a pioneer in sequencing the human genome. So far he has done some amazing things that will benefit us long after he is gone. This is a great man. You have a lot of gall to say this is not leading to anything helpful.

Gary,
I don't mean to upset you by this but you are just speaking off the top of your head and you do not know what you are talking about. Please click on the link.

check the funding sources first. see how many rockefellor organizations are involved. don't be a putz. if you check sources and still find me deranged, that's fine. actually, if you don't and find me deranged, that's fine too. it won't change the truth.
no, you must be right. i know nothing of scientific funding and the people who run this world only wish for the best for you. that's why you're always so deleriously happy, except for the fact that there are so many people who all need to be eliminated because they're stupid and bad and possibly even a sub-species. no, there's no eugenics there....
btw-most of the earth is unihabited and there are resources aplenty(for example, did you know that mexico is the richest country in the americas? not that the mexican people share any of that...
). it's the cities that make the world look overpopulated and that waste resources...not that i'd know what to do if i was out of the city....
i'm sorry, but i think that you are either disengenuous or very naive, just like you think i'm a nutcase kook. i guess we'll just have to leave it at that for the moment....
