the buckle is a genuine Nazi SS Colonel's buckle.

"skull and bones" is the unofficial name of chapter 322 of "the order of death", a german secret society connected with the Thule society and Bavarian Illuminati. Mr Hitler was a Thule society member as were several high ranking Nazis. the SS eugenic programs were also connected to the Thule society, and the SS used much of their symbolism.

"skull and bones" is also the name of the logo itself.
