hi,
My adventure while changing my configuration still goes on... Brief remind : I just installed an Intel E6600 with a DP965LT motherboard and solved the IRQ sharing problems.
After having solved my IRQ problem (for the moment), I have installed Scope 4.5 on my comp without any problem once, it worked well considering the first tests I did which were supposed to meet the most common know problems (like the one I have now). Then, for reasons which would be too long to explain, I have had to format and reinstall windows and since then, there is no way to manage to install the Scope 4.5 properly.
Each time I try, it seems to be ok to the end of the install process, and then, when I launch the software and call back some projects, I have a "can't find the dsp file "(name changing each installation)", check the installation" message an it doesn't work. This error message appears each time I open the projects, which means that it is a problem which comes from the installation itself.
This is a problem I had from times to times before when I had a 4200 + X2 AMD Athlon64 and that I had to made a new install, but when it happened I just recalled a ghost image drive of the OS before the Scope installation, I installed it again and most of times it was ok then, it did never (to my memory) make it twice time after time. Here and now it is always making the problem again and again, it is 3 times I try and 3 times it fails. The strangest thing is that the first time i did install (2 days ago) my scope 4.5 on this new comp in a very similar configuration, it worked well. and my configration is almost empty : just windows, my motherboard drivers, and Acronis True image 10.
Does anyones know the "can't find dsp file" problems, knows where does it come from and how to solve it ?
Thanks again for your answers.
best regards.
"can't find DSP file" installation problem
If you copy them from a CD they will be "read only" , so after that select them all, rightclick, properties and untick the read only attribute, in case you're not too expertgaryb wrote:be sure that the files aren't marked "read only".
a quick solution would be to copy the dsp files from the install disk and overwrite them.
