For portable recording and interfacing with Pulsar, what is the best choice for a Multitrack recorder. Alesis LX20 seems logical but the 20bit processing is getting out of date. The Alesis Masterlink ML-9600 is possible but only 2 channels. Fostex D824 also uses ADAT and can be had for $1500.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
The Alesis Masterlink is an amazing tool. I may get it on ebay. There is a trick to bidding. Decide on a max price. Prepare a low bid and minimize it to the bot of windows. Click on a new browser and prepare a second incrementally higher bid. Minimize it and keep getting new browsers. During the last several minutes of bidding, you will have a row of bullet bids ready to go. There is no time to prepare bids at the end.
