The 2448 is usually overkill for my projects so I use the 1632. I only wish they would make a 1632 with 4 insert slots per channel instead of just 2. 2 is just not enough. (I know I could load fx racks into each insert but that would mean more additional mouseclicks to get to fx settings).

No I didn't, just thought it was best to be clear.

I just asked Ralf at CW, he sez
>>All new mixers working same way. Delay comp. is only there
where it can be turned on/off.<<

So we HAVE been told.

I asked because I use the 1632 because I am used to it and it is easy... the 2448 is also fine. I also use mini mixers around the set up, and I heard them (with my ear holes) as all the same. So it is nice to get it confirmed...

It would be a bit daft if a mini mixer was not as 'clean' or whatever as the main mixer you are using.

Also, it would be nice to be able to drag channels around - ie move Ch 8 to Ch 12 or whatever (like tracks on a sequencer). Sometimes I add new channels, and of course they end up at the end of the mixer, it is a pain to re set up everthing to insert a channel.
Unless I've missed something.

cable configuration had to follow it, so it'd mess the project window...

when I changed from 16/32 to first using 24/48, I remember it clearly sounding better so I never went back, this is from memory though & that was a few years back, & back then when I changed I could have been using different drivers, or had some other settings screwed up, so this thread has made me want to go back & check (esp if 16/32 is dsp lighter).

the 16(whater ever its called..) mixer is dsp liggter, but the faders and panpots arent as smooth sounding as the bigger brother.. when you pull a fader down you can hear the 127 midi steps. the bigger brother mixer has interpolated steps. sounds clean and smooth when you move faders/panpots!
