Fusion Psytrance festival 2007 - Germany

Post by hubird »

Anyone visiting Fusion festival 2007 in Germany?
Main stage offers Psytrance (formerly known as Goa), but there's also punk noise trash band music, (minimal) house, ambient/groove/dub and experimental.
Here are pictures of last year if you're interested:
http://www.ezsound.nl/huub/Photographes ... 202006.htm

It'd be fun to have a Scope camp, with a labtop plugged into the sound system of the old VW in the picture below, we could test the newest crazy stuff from Schroomz/Sharc, hifi, Adern also, etc. :-D

The VW isn't mine, but German Peter got to be a friend of me since Soulclipse festival Turky 2006, he'll be there again.
The only tree in the wide environment was ours :-D
I removed the black-on-yellow lettered border-ribbon on the foreground, as it was taken from a pass through path, and the rest is just exactly what the camera saw :-D

For those who don't know these kind of festivals: they are strictly independent and (very principally) non-commercial, and extremely cheap.
The press is even not welcom, that's one of the reasons I got me a Ricoh GR Digital camera, without wide-conversion lense it's even thinner than my broken HP compact camera.
If you walk around with a big fat pro camera on those festivals, you probably will be asked to stop making pictures.

What I also like already when arriving at the entry, is there's no stupid 'pro' security controlls at the 'gates' of the entry.
It's in the middle of absolutely knowhere, the area is a abondonned military base of former North East Germany, with missile bunkers and a real runway.
Ten miles around nothing...only newly planted young trees along the long streight (ex-military) road to it :-)
If you get to go there, you are most probably 'a good one' :-)

Food and drinks shops are looking 'in style' including those who run them, performing only in those festival settings around Europe and outside (like India, Africa, Brazil, Mexico, Chili, Argentina, Egypt).

Some say the atmosphere is quite hippy, and that's true.
It's really bearable tho :-D
Naïve they canned be called anymore, like the anti-globalists can't be.
I like the friendly and non-macho attitude of the people, tho I regret the absence of extravagantly suited ladies which I'm used to at the typical 'house' parties I used to visit for a long time.
Which is the logical counterpart, as female machoism is also machoism ;-)

I´m afraid, I`ll be at the antris again...because I can borrow a tent (which stands when I`ll arrive) from a couple of friends who are there a bit earlier. But maybe next year? But perhaps you like to come over...there`s a shuttle service from fusion to anatris ;)

just one question Zer: Fusion ends at 1st of July, Antaris starts at 20th of July. How long will i have to sit in the shuttle? :D
hubird

shoot and run

Post by hubird »

it was obvious that I didn't get much time to make the picture.
it was shoot and run :-D
the bright air mislead the camera, but I like the result, tho the noise is partly also caused by a cropped zoom.
Kind of early cell-phone quality.

delightful, marvelous, just wonderful. that's what my dictionary says :D
it rained cats n dogs on thursday and monday but in between it was just cloudy or dull. perfect!
does anybody know ganga giri? wooow! crazy guys they are! wicked live act!
Hubird, where have you been? i was at the trance floor frequently, and i enjoyed every minute of it...although i'm addicted to electro-house atm.
i miss that adorable woman i met friday night...i know nothing 'bout her but her first name and her hometown
but then on saturday an UFO-Armada flew over the place and all the people transformed into aliens...no chance to escape :P

I must confess...I didn't go there.
I spoke to my German friend over the phone, and we both thought the wetter would be too bad for an open air party.
must be age...
anyway, you're telling me I was wrong... another bad decision added to my life :-D

I was and am in the mood, as I'm just finishing my new photographes site, or should I say picture site, as it's more about digital pixels.
I had to treat every picture over again to make it fit into the slideshow the program offers.
I saw all those pictures from Fusion 2006 again, so I'm missing it really :-)

btw, there's something wrong with your picture...there's a blank part underneath it.

i have to admit, it rained more than my memory told me. didn't bother me that much, though 8)
not to go is a bad decision anyway :D
though, many other festivals to come... you like VUUV, hubird? "the transformation" sounds promising to me...

next fusion: 26.-29. jun 2008.

ps: sorry, no problems with the picture above, here!? how can i fix it?

cheers
