One of these channels is not like the others

Post by Liquid Len »

I have a channel on a 2448 mixer that seems to be 'dead' and I'm trying to figure out how I have it configured any different than the other channels. Signal is going in to it - and when the faders are set to "Post Gain" I get a signal. But when I set them to "post fx" (the next one up the chain) all the signal is gone, gone, gone. And the track doesn't use any fx, compressor, or eq, at all.

You don't have an insert enabled without an effect inserted do you?

Nope. BTW, this is after the Effects Sends stage,it doesnt get as far as Inserts, which come next (I'm assuming the order of meter placements corresponds to what's being done to the signal). I checked it against another channel that DOES work, I can't tell the difference between it. (I can't tell the difference between this channel and a dead crab.) I tried rebooting the computer, and the mixer loaded up with that channel 'dead' or else something I've missed. But it should work. It was working just recently... Aren't computers conducive to being creative hehehe.

try recabling the suspect connections...
or - even worse - reload the mixer (make presets?).
I remember I had also some strange stuff lately, I had to reload the OP8 it was.
