SFP MIXING?

Post by darkstar »

Hello everyone,

Here is what I want to do : I want to record in cubase, but to mix on SFP instead of using cubase mixer. And I know to do that (I send cubase groups on sfp outs). What I don't know is how to make audio export then? How to record what I hear?Because I don't want to use cubase export,I want to hear difference between sfp mixing and cubase mixing.Do I need to route output to sound forge,or something else?

Thanks
Best regards

You can route to another app like soundforge if you want but as manfriday says you could route back and record onto a seperate stereo track in cubase.

at least SFP mixer-outs ---> ASIO Dest. ---> Cubase ASIO input (don't forget to mute the recording channel :-)
you can't do wrong (you can't use 'audio export' anyway).
