If I combine Pulsar I and A16 Ultra shall i get 16 analog in's and out's at 24 bit 96 khz, cause i'm seeing stuff like that Pulsar I inputs can only go up to 20 bits.
Thanks.
Will Pulsar I and A16 Ultra give me 24 bit 96 khz?
Correction: Pulsar1 will not do S/MUX via the ADAT litepipes - I forgot about that. But Pulsar1 can do 96khz - just not via the ADAT connections. Pulsar2 can do S/MUX via the ADATs. Remember S/MUX uses twice the amount of litepipe cables to give you 96khz so 4 litepipe cables. You would also need the S/MUX expansion for the A16 Ultra.
A better solution, if 96Khz is still really important to you, is to get a Luna Hammerfarm (Luna with the ADAT/Zlink expansion plate). This way you can do 96khz via the Zlink plates, with only 2 cables.
If 96khz is still really important to you, consider looking at the USB2.0 option for the A16 Ultra. Note that option isn't released yet as far as I can tell, seems the SMUX option is still on it's way too.

smux IS available far as i can see...what's NOT is 16 channels of smux.(not enuff lightpipe i/o for 16 channel since 96k takes twice the connections.)16 more adat i/o expansion is planned for the future.still for the extra $400-$450 the luna zlink is a good buy.(adds 3 more dsp as well as a 96k interface!) still, it's true 96k is not so critical for cd.(the cd is 16 bit 44.1k anyway)it is always best to record with the most detail possible, but very fine work can be done in 44.1k.i think that bit depth might be more important here.(with cd) so... use 24bit and dither down.(if it's cd)
btw- the 20 bit is for the analog connect.(out i think) the pulsar environment is 32bit.adat inputs are 24bit.
