Sonicore intro

Post by Conqueror's Reign »

Greetings Planet Dwellers
I know its still early but has anyone heard if the new company will have the same kind of summer and winter deals as Creamware use to offer or a introductory offer to welcome new/existing users to the platform?

'have a drink, have a drive'...unthinkable text line today :-D
great to see that (type of old) music clip, not for sentimental reasons but for pureness...

Summer deals?
They are putting chairs, tables and cables together in a room at the moment :-D

(It's SonicCore or Soniccore btw., with double c :-) ).

I've recently seen Ray (singer of Mungo Jerry) in a local guitar shop - same smile as in that video, and damn, the dude looks good considering his age - a totally nice and uncomplicated fellow :D

cheers, Tom

For someone considering going Scope or adding to their system would you buy a card now or wait to see what goodies Soniccore comes out with when they are up and running?

afaik, the hardware will remain the same for at least another year. there's much hope for a major software upgrade soon, though.

for myself, i'd say go ahead, you won't lose, but i'm a little prejudiced....

Thanks Garyb thats good to hear! Do you think a major software upgrade would affect the future pricing at all?

nothing has changed about the developer/programmer situation?
i'm sorry, but that's not true. much has changed. the programmers bought the platform, and there's a lot of backstory before that, which isn't my business to relate. it's true, there's nothing official yet, and my saying it's so, doesn't make it so, and yet........

no, i don't expect anything to get cheaper, and i wouldn't look for that. sales will happen for sure, but there's nothing planned for the immediate future. that could change in an instant, but even at the regular price the card is a bargain, anyway....

Stardust do you know the posts of previous discussions where the possibility of new software came up? I am interested in reading them.

The 'possibiltiy' of new software is exactly that. It's a possibility. I'd say the chances of it happening are actually very high, although that's merely speculation on my part. :)

I hope the "dead times" in creamware history are over....

GaryB is right. The product is in the best hands.

This old idea to make a card that does eveything at once was well ahead the dsp posssibilities years ago.
Even these "outdated" cards, considering their dsp power, still rule in many terms.

I really hope the "we only port our existing software into ASBs"-times are over.
I mean the ASBs are good products for the people that want hardware and knobs, but it is still the opposite of the original CW idea.

At the beginning they tried to port external hardware into virtual plug-ins, and in the last years they tried to port the plug-ins into hardware...

My personal vision of the CW future is

+ support existing hardware
+ build a new platform
+ release an authentic plug-in emulations from time to time as a plug-in and ASB at the same time.

the OXE link in the first post doesn't seem to work anymore tho.

They look very promising...and 'new software' is new software :-)

I must say it is an honor to be in the midst of the Overlords (bow) :)

So the "possibilty" of new software is not official but there is a very strong feeling it will manifest into reality. This is really building up excitement :D

no, it's announced, by them :-)
OT, but I hope they offer kinda lof-fi sound circuits, from bitrate reduction to dedicated 'distortions'.
Away at least from the (well respected) classic substractive synthesis, after all there's software involved :-)

Hi,
these synths won't be for free. Before we can integrate them into the onlineshop, we have to do some testings. Moreover we have to make a contract´with John Amolov. He wrote me a nice mail. Next week i will have the time ( hope so ) to get in closer contact with him. So i think, it shouldn't need so much time, to make the synhs available. If we have final oxe files, maybe i can generate temporarly keys for testing. Believe in me. I'am hot to test the synths for my own.

cheers
ralf
