Hi there,
I've had a lot of trouble getting XTC to work with Cubase (5.1) ever since upgrading to windows XP. I did a clean reinstall, but I couldn't load the drivers that came on my Pulsar XTC CD. When I try XP gives me the message:
An error occurred during the installation of the device. The class installer has denied the request to install or upgrade the device.
I tried searching a number of forums, and have seen suggestions that I download various drivers from Creamware's site. I tried that, and found a driver on the 3.02 download that would install, but when I run Cubase, I get a message about a ConnectThunk32.dll error, and it fails to use the PulsarXTC plugins.
Is there a document that outlines the correct sequence of installations to make this work?
Since this is the PulsarXTC card, I can't use it at all if I can't get Cubase working with it.

Hi
I got the same problem and got the same message.Only I'm working with W2K and Logic.I got the drivers from the CW web page using the drivers for Pulsar3.That installs the card .But when I try to install the software I get the same message and the same situation as you.Someone told me -a XTC user having the same problem- that he had managed to speak with the guys at CW and they told him taht the card won't work with W2K(and probably not with XP) for the time being and that they are working on it(how long we have to wait I don't know).

Thanks, I just got my response from Creamware. It was short and to the point: Not supported in XP.
I had asked how long I might have to wait for that next big software release, but they didn't respond to that part of my message. This stinks, now I have to go back to 98SE or wait. I think I'll wait, the press release said that the new software would be out in March.
