Blue Series Drum Modules (mod 2&3) UPDATED 05/07/07

Post by Shroomz~> »

Hello,

Sharc & myself are pleased to present some new modular modules in addition to our BD-1 Bass Drum module. The SD-1 is an approximation of a classic 80's analogue snare drum sound. The CY-1 is an approximation of a classic 80's analogue cymbal sound. The CP-1 is an approximation of a classic 80's analogue clap sound. The TD-1 is capable of producing a variety of classic analogue Tom sounds.

Each drum sound comes in 2 versions, one midi, one non-midi (as can be seen in the screenshots of the modules). We plan to add more modules to this series, so we're going to contain them within this single thread from now on.

Screenshots of all 10 modules are below & the downloads at the bottom of the post are based on the different types of module, IE:- there's separate downloads for the different drum sounds, with each download containing a midi & non-midi version.

Update :-
- Added mod2/3 preset compatability.
- Added preset list on/off button to each module allowing individual presets per module

(note the 'mute' in & out on the CY-1 which give you open/closed possibilities)

Have fun !!! :D

best regards,
Shroomz

AWESOME SHROOMZ, :o
thats what happens when SDK is in the right hands.

its becoming a small drum Flexor pack.
at the end I`m sure you`ll put them all together into a drum machine device.

Pretty cool ! :o
RESPECT ! :o

btw the clap device will be the most difficult one :P

edit :

suggestion for the devices:
some control to to make it sound more "open"... actually it sounds "closed". I like its sound, but there may be times when you need an "open" kick sound or a brighter snare ...

I`ll post the drumachine patch into the mod section, for the ones that are too bored to plug that stuff together.
+ added a demo sound

Still in beta testing stage, so If you've got any feedback feel free to either right it here or send me a pm for a more lengthy discussion.

There will eventually be a lot more of these modules, so that we have different types of each drum sound emulation. I'm also happy to look at mod user drum patches & make the best into modules as part of this collection, but that's something I wouldn't do without being prompted by the creator of the patches.

We've been holding back on making more modular modules until after the release of flexor. Just trying to leave some breathing space for Adern's release, but I might change my mind about that since it ain't gonna be this week.

these are great. i agree with hifi about the 'brightness' though, the snare sound is maybe a bit dull - could be snappier.
patching these w/ new the new flexor modules will make a killer drum machine!
