Creamware split ASB and Scope to separate companies?
Creamware split ASB and Scope to separate companies?
Not sure if this is true, but Creamware seem to have gone "insolvent" and split the scope and ASB brands to two separate companies.
Sonicore take creamware.
InDSP take ASB.

Seeing the ASB model is from the scope system, looks like the Prodyssey Ring Mod sound will never be fixed!
Is this just speculation or true?

Did you have the chance to speak with someone at Creamware about this issue?Le Bone wrote: Seeing the ASB model is from the scope system, looks like the Prodyssey Ring Mod sound will never be fixed!
SonicCore, inDSP
Why don't you send a private message to Frank Hund and Holger Drenkelfort/Jürgen Kindermann. Perhaps they will give you a statement about the future of the ASB productline.
You will find their postings for pm-contact here: http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=21678

Re: Creamware split ASB and Scope to separate companies?
This is all quite worrying - I've already stopped using the Prodyssey as an actual sound source - At the moment, I'm just using it to control the "Odyssey" I created with a Nord G2 Engine!Le Bone wrote:Not sure if this is true, but Creamware seem to have gone "insolvent" and split the scope and ASB brands to two separate companies.

If there's no future support expected, I'll just have to sell it on : (

indeed, I can remember... everyone immediately stopped using ARP synth when the company went out of business a couple of decades agoandyr1960 wrote:...If there's no future support expected, I'll just have to sell it on : (

Well Remember the Klangbox and the Marketings-strategy I mentioned earlier ?
Too bad Creamware keeps on killing itself with the ULTRA bad marketing en support......
Actualy I am really happy with my ASB-trio but, I also foresee that support has ended. For Instance the corrupt ZIP with the OSX remote Software. It is really annoying that when the money is in, the support is out....
And sorry Anna, it is very lovelely all those funny pictures, but as a representave of Creamware (this is what I conclude from your posts), but better fix that problem etc....
The Update stratagy with keys etc, there is written about it before, it is really one step beyond,(not to say Stark Raving Mad) to actually must recieve keys by mail to update an HW synth!!!. Why not include those in the box etc....zzzzzz
It just proves that the ASB series is ported from scope, with al the bugs included......
Its damn damn shame......
PS My Minimax, Pro-12 and Prodyssey are (although those pericles)by far my most popular and used synths in my studio....therefore my frustations about the Creamware ways of working a company (again )

Thats a shame as I also found you most helpful/useful as it was otherwise quite difficult getting anything from Creamware. Many thanks for all that.Anna Lüse wrote:I am no longer working for the company.

Otherwise I totally agree with septics ranting and fully understand why his is so p*ssed.

Gettings those keys! Weird or what? Must have cost alot of money in admin with Ralph having to setup/mail etc. money that could have been spend with someone fixing the Prodyssey editor et al. I feel rather frustrated and that is nothing to do with having a 4 month old baby keeping me awake.....

Slimeware/outDSP keygen???
Why don't Slimeware/outDSP just post keyless sw versions for Noah, Klangbox, ASB so WE don't have to rely on keys??? We have seen that it is possible!!! (LIke the early Prophet 5 and VS on Noah which didn't need a key) Then they did not have to use resources for customer support. Everyone would be happy.
Someone in india should read this once again:

What will come first??? DVDJON's keygen for all Slimeware/outDSP's products or proper support so people can use the hardware and software they PAID for???
Thanks Anna. At least you tried to help with the keys

The Klangboxes were not in any of the usual music mags. Seems such a shame especially as they did well. Just think what would have happened if they had marketted the product etc. Could have been excellent all around.
If Creamware had marketed the ASB's with the idea that more software could have been added on etc (even for a price) the resultant audience would have been alot larger. I for one would have loved a minimax filter on my PRO-12 etc. It seem bonkers that there are some excellent people in Creamware that have developed something absolutly top notch.
If only Creamware had talked with their customers rather than at them... if only... I now have some newish half finished hardware that has no future. I can hear ebay calling....
