In my personal keyboard rig, to have more flexability, I would like to make sure whatever DAW I'm using @ that time could have my external module 4 the hardware synth in both projects using the same MIDI channel. So b4 I screw anything else up, is this a workable scenario?
Solaris and B2003, along w/ ProOne and SE-1x on DAW #1
ProWave x 2, w/ Six Six String, along w/ ProOne and SE-1x on DAW #2
I would be using the same MIDI channel #14 for the ProOne / SE-1x combo on both DAW's. I am using the Akai ME30P MIDI Patch Bay, and 2 x KS-88's. My hopes are that whatever DAW I use, that this obese mono synth can be accessed @ all times, along with the usual SFP / Giga content.
I Have Been Tweaking My Rig 4 The Last Month, Hope This Do-able.
Analog Hardware SE-1x In 2 (x) Project Windows
If you don't use both daws at the same time there shouldn't arise any problem.
If you plan to use them at the same time, make shure there's no midi feedback occuring at cha14 (it should be only sent to the daws but they shouldn't send it out again) .. & with controlers for all channels.
cheers
Wolfgang

Man or Myth,....Wolf,
Thanks brosky. When the God of MIDI tools responds, I feel confident. All outs will be off in this rig. The ancient ME30P is a 4 in, 8 out solution w/ filter, that makes the M Audio 8 x 8 look cheap and worthless, which it is IMHO. It sucks so bad, I am selling it, and I usually save everything for years and years. That was the worst piece of kit I ever bought, besides the overpriced CS80. Still can't believe that some think that synth was FAT? It was FAT as in weight, that's all.
Thanks Wolf, I shall Continue.
