Has anyone heard the 3 x sets of pres. from Bonoist Guitton 4 Solaris 4.1?
This is so Sci-Fi and Drony. Awesome stuff. I would love to see some old Vincent Price movies re-done w/ Solaris, even Boris Karloff. They are so powerful I have to drop my sliders down 60% ! I seem to be stuck in the ambient thing right now, so this was rather refreshing.
Benoist Guittons Presets 4 Solaris
Nobody, I mean nobody gets more timbre and flavor out of a synth than you my friend. Going through your presets is better than having a video, as each preset is a lesson, and sounds like a whole different synth.
In ProWave your presets are more Prophet-ish, as it lacks the GUI and options that Solaris has. But in ProWave, again you demonstrate that high level of quality and precision.
I wish I had you making presets for the Oberheim Matrix-12 / XPander back in the day. I could have been a contender.
Just wanted to thank you for an incredible contribution to the John Bowen Museum of Synths, truly inspiring.

Thanks again !
I'am far from having harnessed all the possibilities in Solaris since there's so much to explore and I'am more enthused when there's a wide range of sources and modulation sources.
Beware also that some presets have many facets depending how you play them : first notes played, velocity, aftertouch if you got it, modwheel actions and you may have a whole box of chocolates inside one preset !
Very often I have to replay more than 10 times a peculiar preset to nail the sound progression I seek ( not to mention some additionnal realtime mouse action )
Go ahead Jimmy and test also Rotor EX while you are at it !
