Has any one had problems with polyphony in the STS Samplers? I'm using a STS4000 for drum sounds. If I use longer samples (i.e. from a sample cd) I find that some notes lock into a kind of Mono mode until I stop playing for a bit. I’ll be playing away happily when suddenly the floor tom and Hi-hat start to cut each other off.
At first I thought it might be my sequencer/midi-interface but when I bypassed then by using the Pulsar(1) midi ports the problem remained.

2 possibilities that I see: the individual setting for each instrument's polyphony is too low or the over-all polyphony (in the pulsar task bar, you see your device with the polyphony #) is fully used by your sampler. Check for the first option, the control is in the main window...

I've tried various levels of polyphony and checked that both the instrument and overall numbers are consistant. When I mentioned the tom and hi-hat the rest of the sounds retained polyphony... sort of like intermitant exlusive groups. There is the odd glitch at the start of playing as well but I didn't want to complicate things
I have a feeling it may be due to the buss speed (I'm using a laptop in a docking station). I know this is just "asking for it" as far as performance but the rest of the system runs fine apart from the odd ASIO overflow message in Logic. I mainly wondering if anyone else has experienced this same issue.
