watercooled cw system

Post by soul-synthesis »

Here's my watercooled pulsar system. 3x pulsar2 cards on my overclocked amd64 and 6800gt card. As you can see, the P180 case is stuffed with cards & drives (4 HDDs, 2 DVD, 3 P2 cards, 1 sync card, 1 HDTV card), the case is limiting but i worked around it. The pulsar cards are cooled with a slot blower @ 7volts.

Been running the system for about 3 months now under heavy video/audio work and also gaming, rock stable, cool and very quiet. Pretty good for a few more yrs until i upgrade to a multi core system.

Excellente Trabajo Cabrone,
I am also sick like you. I wanted the water cooled rack mount by Koolance w/ some custom drive coolers. My key-tech threatened to quit as he said he didn't want to be responsible for my aquarium om the road.

antec P180.

antec is coming out with new cases which are longer and have additional cooling. The P180 can be a pain with multiple CW cards (as you can see with the photo),

great job. I was very tempted by a watercooling system but as i have chosen a 100% Noctua system (rad and 120mm fans with a Zalman rehobus that allows you to control the fan speeds) and a M12 Seasonic power supply i am very happy with it. Although i have 6 fans (2 in, 1 out, 2 for cpu rad and 1 for my raptor 150Go HD) my rack offers silence... really amazing.

For those looking for silence and efficiency, I just want to stress that those Noctua 120 mm ( i have tested several other brands) can blow at very low speeds which is a stunning feature. Hence all my fans are at the minimum rate and they blow better than the other brands (Papst, Noiseblocker)... Of course you won't get the watercooling system 100% silence.

Hope it helps,
