Guitar solo for the New Year

Post by paulrmartin »

Something of a mix in the styles of Frank Zappa and Pink Floyd.

I guess you can take this as a Dynatube demo.

Have a great New Year, everybody! :)

Good stuff! I think the 'mix of styles' as you put it is spot on.

BTW, which variant of Dynatube were you using for the sound? I'm impressed; it sounds very warm and natural.

I would, if I could, pass my day writing reviews of the music people post here... But as Ken, I don’t have as much time, and when I have some left for the forum, I want to relax on it, because doing reviews it is more of an intense act for me, so I cannot really relax, I need to listen with an intention, instate of listening just to enjoy. So, if I don’t answer to all your posts and in general, to the rest of the music posted in the forum, is because I don’t have the time. I know you understand Paul.

Today, nevertheless, I want to do an exception so to answer your request in the off topic forum.

I can here hear an overall soft distortion in the mixing, like an over-compression, sort of.

Love the sound of the guitar, but I would like for it to have some more space, and I would achieve it not with a verb, but with some more delay.

Then I would like the guitar to be a little more upper the overall mix. This is because the sound you have chosen is quite full, and so it gets slightly melted with the middles of the keys. By the way, it is a lovely sound, hope you have done a preset of this one.

Cheers
