Post by widy »

i just bugth a second tft ..... this was the best investment for a long time :-) ....
left tft scope .. right tft kuhbase :-) ..........

but since a had2 tfts ( since 2 days ) i had two crashes ... one with scope and one with cubase .... dont kno exactly what error message .... any runtime failure .....

i never had a crash with scope and cubase in the last half year ..... so was this bad luck .. or is windows more instable with 2 tft's .. i just installed the included .driver for the tft (samsung 932b) ... no other changes of the setup

What graphics card? Using the 2nd output might have increased system load on the PCI bus etc.

The first thing to do would be to use DoubleDawg (google it) and snoop your PCI latency settings. I think you're likely to find the primary port is set quite high, usually 249-254 latency out of a possible 256 values (0-155 i think). Then I suspect your 2nd port is quite low (32 or 64).

The next thing to do would be to check device manager & see if your gfxcard is sharing an irq with your scope card.
