Yes, better midi. Should be very useful, Imho , the possibility of use the SysExs.
I mean the possibility of handle sysex (create them into an editor, assign different sysex to different devices, save them in the preset window, etc...).

Uses? For example to have a smoother control on filters and vca, an easier way to control devices with lots of controller (as the mixers) etc...

I should keep the routing flexibility and the modular idea of cascading several boards. I like the possibiity to choose different power with different budget keeping a good hardware anyway (good converters, good samplerate, low noise etc...)

In the year of 2525
If man is still alive
If woman can survive
They may find

In the year of 3535
Cant tell the truth, cant tell no lie
Everything you think, do and say
Is in the pill you took today

In the year of 4545
Wont need no teeth ,wont need your eyes
Wont find a thing to do
Nobodys gonna look at you

In the year of 5555
Your arms are hanging limp at your side
Your legs have nothing to do
Some machines doin that for you

In the year of 6565
Wont need no husband, wont need no wife
Youll pick your sons, pick your daughters too
From the bottom of a long glass tube wouwo

In the year of 7510
If god is commin he should make it by then
Maybe hell look around and say:
"Now its time for the judgement day!"

In the year of 8510
God is gonna shake his mighty hand
Hell leave a salient place where man has been
Or tear it down and start again wouwo

In the year of 9595
Im wondering if man is gonna be alive
Hes taken everything earth had to give
And hes put back nothing wouwo

Now its been 10.000 years man has cried a million tears
For what he never knew now mans dream is through
But through eternal light the twinklin of starlight
So very far away now its night to yesterday

I think it's an obligation to keep the routing windows. And the sysex is a great idea too. I am agree with the automation, in the mixer it will be nice to automate the compressor and the EQ, and have more than one channel to do that.

I'll certainly second better midi control. Being able to address cc information in a Korg Kore(xml?) style way would be sweet too.

As for the PCI-Express vs FireWire... I'd vote a little of each a la RME.

Why not have two firewire ports coming from a PCI-Express or CardBus Express device. Since most laptops only have one firewire port, if any, then it would make sense to use some external adaptor. Plus, it would be an opportunity to use FireWire 800 (1394b).

Lastly, how about the ability to address multiple midi channels to any one device!? Man would it be a lot easier if I could just apply 1 channel's worth of cc's to the 1st 16 channels, and another channel to another page of 16 channels. Or even more, apply a channel to panning and AUX knobs, a channel to volume and aux faders, etc.

All this news looks good though, regardless of how it pans out.

Incidentally, it is not at all out of the ordinary to roll the assets and products of one company rolled into a new corporation.

The last news about CW was not that good news and what does the community do: they speculate about the next release of CW hardware...

no offense at all, but this is really fun. But I like this community and the way they handle situation.... :D

Its like you hear that next war is starting and all you say is: hey we cant change, lets do a party and have fun.......

I talked to Mobility Electronics about a 13 slot 64 bit Magma yesterday. You don't even want to know the projected MSRP.
