mail says "PM arrived" but none is there ?

hi all,

I got a notification mail yesterday, that a new PM has arrived, but after login I am told that "You have no new messages".
Is it possible to delete messages after they were sent ?
Or is it just lost in the shallows of the internet .. mmh.
However can the one, who sent the PM to me, resend it please ?
