Headroom In Scope Mixer

Post by Paralon »

First i played 4 identical vsts at 0 db in Live 6 and send them to the Master (1/2) that goes to dynamics mixer stereo ch 1 - master start clliping although with 2 vsts
Now i send the all 4 vsts to 4 mono ch on dynamic mixer - the Master was not clip
Why is that ? i work in 32bit resolution in Live i believe in cubase it will be the same.

because scope has a lot of headroom. that's part of the reason you want to mix in scope.

No, it's the same design, only with more inputs. I was thinking towards the 1632, which is a bit different. But I might be wrong.
