dynatube bass AG not saving setting in the project! a bug?

Post by bosone »

first of all, happy 2007! :-)
i have some problem with dynatub bass AG which i bought last month.
i load the dynatube bass (either the "normal" or the "rack" version) in a stm2448 mixer channel or as a standalone module in the SFP window, i tweak the setting, achieve the sound and then save the SFP project as a whole.
if i reload the project, the dynatube is loaded with some "standard" preset and it loose all the setting i made previously... it is a very annoying behaviour (bug?) since i have to remember eveytime to save a dedicate preset for a specific project...
is someone experiencing the same behaviour?
this is not happening with other modules...
thanks!

this is exactly how Scope before version 3 handled presets, and I found it very convenient, too.
On the other hand it meant that you effectively had to duplicate a device for another set of presets (or so...)
Maybe some of your device have a kind of 'auto-update-the-current-preset' feature to mimick the previous mode. (?)

Since you've adressed it... I actually find the preset handling a horror in it's own, with every particular subsection of a device having it's own dedicated file and then also has to look after it in obscure locations, presenting the stuff on load etc.
Imho that's not smart, so to say...

cheers, Tom
