My SFP has been working until this morning when it started giving me 'Copy protection violation!' error. It happens when I try to load anything to the default project (synths, plug-ins, effects, etc.).
I have encountered SFP asking for 'Registration' that (as annoying as it is) I can simply 'Import Key File' to resolve.
But this time, it won't go away & I'm getting this new 'Copy protection violation' message while registry window says 'Import succeed.'
Any thoughts on what can cause this?
I've had this error. I had beed fiddling with the adat i/o on one of the cards and somehow managed to move the card slightly out of the pci slot So every now and again I would get this copy protection violation error.
Have a look, that may just be all it is.
Okay, I've uninstalled SFP, cleaned out any SFP entries from registry, reinstalled SFP, and all is fine until I start installing extra .oxe files for plug-ins.
It says my key does not match the hardware and in Module Registry window, only my original Pulsar Plus HW S/N shows up and not my PowerPulsar (Scope)...to which the newer plug-ins are assigned. PowerPulsar (Scope) does show up in Installed Hardware list but somehow no module's associated with it.
I'm going to try with perhaps only PowerPulsar card and see if anything registers. If anyone out there has experienced something like this & managed to resolve the issue, please let me know. I'd appreciate any help on getting the system up & running again.
Now I just have PowerPulsar (Scope) in and the other 2 out and when I try to start SFP, I get asked to enter keyfile & when I do I get "Cannot start Scope Platform (error code 0001)."
Has my PowerPulsar card died?
And where do I go from here?

oh man.. this is exactly what have happened to me just recently! my scope's are sent to Cw for repair as of now.
Yup yup, I've read your topic & was afraid that it meant I had to part with my card...for a period of time.
Well, I guess I need to send my card out too then. But before that, I'm going to test my 2 other cards and see if they still work. Then, I'll have to figure out the logistics of how to go about the actual repair process with CreamWare.
I know this is a long shot but are there even any 'CreaWare service centers in North America?'
It seems right before every major recording project, things tend to break down...argh
Perhaps I'll end up resorting all the way back to my ol'Yamaha 4-track...yes back to cassettes!
Uninstalled SFP, took out all CreamWare cards, cleaned out Windows registry, reintalled PowerPulsar alone, trying to install SFP and I can't get past the point where the installer asks for the key file. Even when I provide the key file, SFP does not register.
Is this a hardware problem with my PowerPulsar card or has my key file gone haywire and just a matter of getting a new key file from CreamWare?
I'm having a similar problem, but I can run everything except the new plug-ins from the 4.5 update. I had them registered, then they stopped working and won't accept the codes again. Ralf says the card needs repairs. What I don't understand is why I can run everything else, all the keys imported with the allkeys file work good, it's the ones I enter manually that won't stick.

Did you ever get your cards repaired? I'll be sending in my card next week for repair...just wondering how long it took for the repair & how things are working out since....
Still havent recieved them, i think i will get them back next week tho. Only took 2 months. The cards were fine as it seemed, so it must have been my mobo after all. I have replaced everything in my comp now however, so will be interesting to see how it works when i get my scope's back.
