I sometimes hear pops and clicks when I play audio from cubase. If I minimize the picture
they disapear which leads me to conclution that the problem is related to screen update.
Will a better grafic cart help. The screen resolution should be smaller?More ram on the cart?I have hardware accelleration in max mode.

So difficult to offer any advice with zero information as to what you have. So let's start there: What graphics card do you have? Include Brand, Model, Amount of Memory, and PCI or AGP connector? What resolution are you running at, and what color depth? Those 6 answers would help greatly to giving you advice to solve your problem.

try disabling the hardwareacceleration or setting it to 0. When this solves it, get new drivers or if not available a new card.

I have a matrox G 400grafics cart.My board tuls2c 1Ghz 512Mb ram.Sony trinitron 17" (new) highest resoution(?)16bit 75Hz.
But my problem with clics and pops seems to disapear in normal pulsar mode versus xtc.

If you move the mouse over an XTC surface there is some noise, yes, and I think its a known issue. The UAD1 card also has similiar noises that happen. Must be something to do with the XTC/VST accelerator thing. Use normal Pulsar mode if it bothers you or avoid recording while using the mouse.
