OT: P4T-E Configuration

I've purchased a 1.9 P4 with the Asus P4T-E mobo that came with the optional built in sound and game ports. I disabled the audio jumper on the mobo and installed XP. My query is where do i disable the MPU-401 Compatible Device which has allocated itself to IRQ 10 along with the SMBus Controller-2443. I cant see anything in the bios V1005 for MPU-401 Midi and if i disable it from device manager it is still allocated to IRQ 10 by System InformationIRQ after a reboot. Obviously this must be to do with the onboard sound chipset as the only card i have in the PCI Slot is a Pulsar2 soon to be joined with an SRB Card.
The system has been installed as "Standard PC".
This is the complete IRQs allocated:
0-System Timer
1-PC/AT PS2 Keyboard
3-Creamware Pulsar 2
4-USB Host Controller - 2442
6-Standard Floppy
8-CMOS/Real time clock
10-SMBus Controller - 2443
10-MPU401 Comp MIDI Device
11-Matrox G450
12-PS2 Mouse
13-Numeric data processor
14-Prim. IDE
15-Secondary IDE.
Seems to work ok with Pulsar its just the MPU 401 Midi device is bugging me! How do i remove it if i can.
Sorry if this isnt a Pulsar specific problem, and apologize if i should not have posted here.

If you can that would be great. I did notice in the Asus manual pg63 that in the I/O Device Configuration there are settings for AC97 Audio Controller and Gameport and Midi I/O. I dont have these showing in my BIOS, could it be the fact that i disabled the onboard audio on the mobo with the jumper. I'll try enabling the jumper to see if they are there if so lets hope i can get XP Device Manager to disable the IRQ's.
Thank you
Update:- Problem Sorted, due to disabling audio on mobo with jumper. All neccesary settings are now present in BIOS. Thanks

I have also just got a P4T-E with a 1.8 'northwood'.
I am really unsure about IRQ settings!!!
I have been told to exclusively assign an IRQ in the BIOS (10) and put the card (PULSAR II) in slot 3.
My main problem is that I have done this but in win98se's sys info I also have 2 other things assigned to that IRQ.
I do have PnP OS disabled in the BIOS also.
Any help/advice would be great.

On a side note, I can tell, that If you want to uninstall something and get rid of all the old garbidge, it can be necessary to remove the object from device manager in FAIL SAFE mode. Some things are just not done properly in normal mode (all refers to win98se, wich, I have personla experience with).

this is my irq situation with p4t-e.
Thanx man!
I have been told to use as high a priority IRQ as poss (IRQ 9 or 10).
Do you get good performance with your Pulsar using IRQ 5?
What ULLI setting can you use?
I have now got my card in slot 3 and I have tried using IRQ 9, 10 and 7. My problem is that I still get crackles in the audio when trying to use anything other than the lowest ULLI setting (Logic 4.8, ASIO2-24bit running 8ch's @44.1).
I thought with an ASUS P4T-E, 1.8 Northwood (not overclocked) and 512mb Ram Iwould be able to get more performance than this!
Any more help would be great.
Thanx
