Scnerio:

I like to use Pulsar to track. I need the real time use of the DSP to track synths and what not especially with a lot of hip hop and r/b project in the studio. With the rock guys, the use the sampers so in short, the instruments in Pulsar are very important to me.

I want to use XTC to mix and I don't want to reboot. Having Creamware plug-in f/x are important to me and currently I've not budgeted a Universal Audio or Power Core into my budget.

After I've tracked my stuff, I'd like to Reopen Cubase in XTC mode. Every time I've tried that now, I get that XTC program allready running message and when I shut down Pulsar it opens in XTC mode. However, I lose all of my I/O and the main configuration.

I just downloaded the brochure for Pulsar 3.1 and looked in the XTC section. It doesn't offer much in the way of I/O configuration in XTC mode. Are there any suggestions for the following:

1. How do I set up the XTC routing so that I have all those ASIO channels coming out of my ADATs in XTC mode so that the cubase mixer is really really flexible (so that I can reload the Virtual instruments in cubase using Pulsar instruments and have them play while using Creamware plug-ins)?

2. How do I set Pulsar to directly boot into XTC mode only from a Cubase standpoint---so that I can switch between the no latency aspects of tracking while Pulsar runs in Parallel (normal mode) vs. in XTC mode (with evil latency issues). Does it have something to do with that little check box for XTC?
