Help me to choose a Socket A mobo

Post by steffensen »

My A7N8X-E is probly broken, and after months of errors im tired of this and want to replace it. Its a jungle out there tho, so i would appreciate if anyone could give me some tips on a Socket A mobo?

I have my eyes on this at the moment:

(in swedish, but i think u will get it anyway..)

Im not looking for anything fancy, just something to get me by til my next comp update. And of course, it got to work nicely with my SCOPE's, hence why im posting here for your help. :)

I had a option to choose a Abit NF7-s2, wich spec-wise is the same thing as the Asrock one, but as i could get the Asrock mobo completely new (the other one was used), i decided to go for this one.

Gonna be interesting to see if this solves my problems, if not, the only thing left o replace is the PSU. Trial & Error ftw. :D

I find this very interesting because we also have a brand new K7NF2-RAID board just waiting to be tested. We just need a new psu & cpu fan to get it up & running. I had it running for several days, then robbed it of parts to problem solve & fix our A7N8X system. The problem turned out to be the psu after all, but a few months later the Nvidea FX5200 gfx card decided to die.
