Post by SonicTransportSystem »

when i put the lfo`s sync to midi and i use the frequency divider to adjust the speed that i want, the frequency divider doesnt work correctly

With the hummel its horst cause maybe 2 seconds after i play a note it seems that the midi message stop! something like a note off before i live the key.

I hope you understand

thanks a lot

You'll find that anything you try to clock to MIDI will not work properly - this is a known issue and i think is nothing to do with CW but the host (Cubase etc.). MIDI sync'ed delays for instance click horribly. Where you can enter the tempo of the track manually - not sure how this can be achieved with LFOs though.

i think there was a device someone posted that could 'smooth out' the MIDI tempo before it hit SCOPE, but i can't remember who made it or where to find it. Or maybe i dreamt it, sorry.

midi clock

Post by SonicTransportSystem »

Its strange if the problem its from cubase working as master, cause i have a korg ms 2000 and a nord modular that work perfectly with cubase master tempo, using the CW midi in/out!

Same

I have the same issues - an (external) MS2000 that syncs perfectly, but I can't sync up creamware's devices. I think the problem is the Windows MIDI drivers - if you sync to an external MIDI clock it should work. (I read that on this board a few years ago, but I forget where, and haven't had time to test).

It's CW's MIDI clock that's erratic. There's an easy fix, if only they would just release it...

Indeed they can't.

But in over 10 years of intense Scope using, I never shed a tear on that - just set it manually to the same clock!

you just put the tempo to "internal" on the synth, edit the tempo to the one you want, and to trigger the LFO you activate the LFO note-on trigger (or synch as it may also be labelled).

Spacef Blue Synth is quite old, it was made under the realm of Pulsar 2, and may be there are stuff that do not work well in the new SFP (presets especially).

ps: i tried to synch to a yamaha drum box once, and CW clock was very stable. I guess it is the clock from sequencers (cubase) that is hard to manage under SFP, because a hardware clock seemed to work normally (eventhough it was 1 bpm more or less from the tempo of the drumbox).

sync CW devices with hardware machines

Post by SonicTransportSystem »

One time i used a korg es-1 as master tempo and the bpm of a modular 2 device(slave bpm) doesnt get stable,

with me doesnt happen just with cubase as master tempo
