How to install and setup Scope 4.5 with Cubase SL3?

Double click on the ASIO Source module and you can increase the number of channels - do this with Cubase closed. Then when you launch Cubase go into the MIDI Manager (or whatever it's called) and add the extra buss channels. Et voila (hopefully).

The PDF manual inside Scope dir explain every kind of ASIO connection.On 2006-10-17 15:38, Mr Arkadin wrote:
i always use ASIO2-32 Source 64 - don't ask me why, i can't remember, but there is a reason. It's fine for 24 bit recording (and i think is better than the 24 bit ones but i can't remember why).
Hi guys,
I have another, slightly more complicated ASIO-related question.
I have two, probably related issues:
(i) I'd like to listen to my PC audio through my monitors (hifi) but also my creamware audio output!
(ii) I have several other ASIO sources (e.g. line6 Podxt ASIO via usb cable) that I would like to use in Cubase SX 3, however, once ASIO driver is set to ASIO scope in the audiobay section in cubase's device menu, I am only able to access my creamware busses. I'm aware that if I used more than one computer I could use system link to access multiple ASIO data sources from different cards, but this seems convoluted!
What I have been doing for the past 5 or 6 years is using audio cables. This is fairly unsatisfactory due to cables and general inconvenience, needing to set levels, audio deterioration, and presumably also latency. In fact, I have been taking my creamware output and running it into line in on my old sb live platinum card. I think a better solution would be to take the audio card's digital output into my creamware digital in, take all other ASIO sources into cubase (somehow!!), save/mix back into my creamware configuration, and send out from my creamware outputs in a quadraphonic surround format. This should be feasible because I have a lunar 2 and pulsar connected together, so have 2 stereo outs?
Any help very much appreciated! this has stumped me for several years and I really want to sort it out now as I'm setting up a new band and want to use my podxt, bass pod, soundcard, and any other digital inputs that take my fancy properly from now on!
THanks,
Carl

asio routing problem in cubase
question:
Is it possible to route scope synths to ASIO Destination and add some vst effects in cubase and route the signal back to scope via asio
in realtime and a greate sync
Focus: cubase----------------- Scope
Routing: Midi Track-> Kick Me->Mixer
VST Synt->Asio out->Aiso Source->Mixer
sync ok with Cubase and other VST's or audio tracks
.. no problem i'm happy
but if i try
Focus: cubase----- Scope---- Scope----- Cubase-- Cubase------ Cubase -- Scope
Routing: Midi Track->Kick Me->Asio Dest->Asio in->Audio Track->Asio Out->Asio Source->Mixer
if i activate the monitor of the audio track to hear the sound, the sync drives me crazy
but if i record (resample the sound of kickme ) the record sync ok to all other traks
( i do not need any options depends on time offset for records or so on )
I only press record during playback
i tried out all ASOI sources and destinations and all ULLI settings.
ULLI is setuped to 7ms otherwise i hear not a clean sound.
I also set the vst options to high priority and dissable the feature low latency in cubase.
and no interrupt sharing of scpe with ther hw on my system
The strainge thing for me is that if i record the sound i do not need any time offset or so on
Is this a bug of the monitor featur of audiotracks in cubase, is there a nother solution.
sorry for the bat englisch

maybe solution
i found the direct monitor feature
now i have no latenzy .. but i can not apply any effect .... during monitoring
normal monitoring will add the lateny delay of the soundkart .... and for my ist not possible to setup the ulli lower than 7ms ......
is there no possible solution to add effects in real time without resampling ...

no, Asio isn't realtime...
the usual setup for 'strictly realtime' is to do the complete mix in Scope and record the direct outs and possibly the mixer's sum on an additional Asio pair after the Scope mixer.
As you've observed, no realtime VST stuff that way
the question is 'what VSTIs do you use that (absolutely) require realtime control?'
often there is an even better equivalent under the Scope FX menu - often underrated because it's 'stock' and comes with the system.
I don't want to limit your creativity (and I don't qualify as a Cubase expert anyway...), but sometimes things are just overlooked.
cheers, Tom
