I have serious runtime errors occurring when running Samplitude 9. I did NOT have any problems with v8.31.
I have a couple simple, one-track MIDI VIP's that run for a while and then suddenly crash out with a runtime error message. Samp. closes and the audio goes into a stuttering mode until I ctrl/alt/del and close out of SFP.
I contacted Magix support, and after running their syscheck, and a memtest, etc., the best recommendation they could make was to switch to an RME system!!
Pretty lame.
Samplitude 9 is VERY unstable on my system, which has plenty of horsepower to handle 8.31.
The runtime error starts happening if I alt/tab between Samp. and SFP and back.
I have a good power supply, do not see any definite IRQ conflicts, and have tons of RAM.
So, is anyone else running Samplitude 9 with SFP without any problems?
I feel forced to consider getting an updated motherboard with dual-core, etc. etc.
Kinda frustrating, ya think?
Anyone?
Greg
Samplitude 9 anyone?

yes, seems like a bit of an oversight to me.
There are definite driver issues with Samplitude 9. This is my determination after fiddling around with it for over a week now.

tech. support reply back from Magix recommends switching to REM cards because 'Magix doesn't support Creamware'.
A bit of a copout I think, especially since the cards have been working fine up until now, and for the most part are stable.

They must be busy making fixes because Magix's tech. support has gone awry since the rev. 9 release (or so it seems). I hope it doesn't get as bad as their Video product support.
The Magix Samp. forum is great, but no hard-core bug reporting going on - just reports of anomolies. For me it's the drivers, for others it's graphics or plugin problems. Perhaps all related.
rev. 8.0 was unstable until 8.1, then it was great. I guess it's the same this time around.
I DO see better stability on my laptop running RME Multiface, so perhaps there is still an opportunity for Creamware to work more closely with Magix (being German and all), because it sounds as if Magix has surrendered to 'not supporting' Creamware cards.
Anyways, back to the music...

another question:
How can I get hybrid engine working in Scope 4?
Which ASIO modules should I use?
I can get it working just fine on my laptop RME system. It's VERY cool.
Anyone?
