1. there is a big instant hit on my new 1032 genelecs  that hits them when i shut down the pc.
i know i can avoid by muting the mixer, pr turning them off, but now i do not have one, and i send from xlrs directly from scopes analog outs.
is there a way to fix that?

2. what about that terrible loud noise when i load stereo equalizer?(i am lucky i remember so far to turn off volumes when i load it, especially when i wear headphones) otherwise i would have been dead... e sorry ....... i mean deaf.

if you can afford a pair of 1032s you also can afford a knob device before them

is that sound similiar to the one I experience when I plug the bass off and the guitar into the preamp ?

cheers, Tom

1. knob device that you advice me?

2. the bass guitar answer was about the eq?
if yes, well i can not tell for sure.
it is just an instant "scream" at high pitch.

Yeah, it's a high tech device called a volume knob. Just turn off your speakers first, that's what one should do on any system, even a hifi one. i mean you don't leave your speakers on all the time do you?

ok. i guess the mixer is a solution.

I agree with Mr Arkadin; turn things on in-to-out, turn things off out-to-in.

There's very often a capacitor or an impedance which wants to discharge rather quickly when you turn things off, and it's best if the speakers are off when this happens!
