I've never done it, and so don't know.

What should I do when they ask me to introduce the ?Remote URL?, what is it and what should I write?

Thanks for your help.

i put a track last day and ask myself what an url is.
maybe you need to put it if your song is on another server so it is just a link.
But If you download an mp3 file from your machine you don't need to put anything in url and it works
PS:i find something like this:)
if you take this http://www.letsgotoparty/yeahyeah/ok/index.htm
http://
identify the protocol here it is "hypertext transfer protocol"
www.letsgotoparty/
identify the server name here it is "lets go to partyzz"
/yeahyeah/ok/
identify the repertory and sub repertory here "yeahyeah" and "ok"
index.htm
identify the file i think at the end of the pyramid.
that is basically that if think i stop here.Ah yes yes
URL means Uniform Resource locator(not usefull for everyday life)
bye:)

Press the Browse button.
Instead of only HTML files, look in *All files*
Find your tune(mp3) and press Submit.

And do not use spaces in file_name.mp3 for our pour NetScape users, then they can download the song too

I've just done it from Internet Explorer, just in case it was Netscape... But it didn't work either. I've got the following message:

"The forum you are attempting to post to does not exist. Please try again".

What a hell am I doing wrong?

You have 2 lines where you can define a file, for it to be uploaded:
-you can browse on your computer and select the file. the file will now be uploaded to planetz, (i've noticed the files are still on planetz.ghostwheel, shouldn't make a difference!)
-you can give an url. The files will then not be hosted on planetz, but it just puts a link on the Z to the file that has to be openly available on the web. Not on a password protected site like groups.yahoo.com or mp3.com.

Please, do not upload links to mp3.com for songs. Put your mp3.com page on your Profile instead. Or mention it as a mirror/hint in the text accompanying your song on the Z.

Waco! There is definitely something strange going on, because I?m pretty sure I?m doing what is needed to be done, in fact it?s a very easy process? But it doesn?t work.

Please, what can I do now?

Thanks atomic for explaining all that so well. That's all exactly right

Nestor, if you're still having problems uploading, send me an email and we'll try to figure out what's going on.

indeed valuable newbee info! only slightly OT, but how is it some songs are immediatly being played by the crappy mp3 player of IE (i think it is like this (mac/IE)) and can't be found as file afterwards, while other songs are downloaded to my desktop so i can play them in the much better iTunes player?

btw, not so lazy these days... lots of studying, making music and money

ok, it is so simple to pull down a menu and just read what it says
just found it somewhere in iTunes (preferences)
